They urged us to enter into the Corn Hill Arts festival, and we were very excited to be accepted. The day was full, while we battle a little bit of rain, overall it was a great experience. We had an opportunity to meet so many new people, sell bears, and take orders for people who were looking for something extra special.

Our afternoon was a pleasant surprise when the judges of the Corn Hill Arts Festival gave Uncle Bob’s Bears 2nd place in our Artists category, what a great experience!

We are looking forward to tomorrow, be sure to come and visit out booth, ask questions, and purchase that special bear that is meant just for you.

Often referred to as the Jewel of the Adirondacks, Heather and I were fortunate enough to make it to a camp located there last weekend.
We’d been hired to carve a bear out of a left over white pine stump that measured 14 feet tall.
Here are the images of our work below. The carving took all day, but we were able to entertain many that came to sit and watch us carve.

We worked with one beautiful fourteen foot piece of pine cut into a six foot piece.  While there were lots of nails to navigate around after nine hours, two broken chains and one burned out saw we are happy to report we we left the site leaving behind a new camp addition.  Hopefully we’ll get the photos and video up this week some time.

  It was great meeting so many new people and sharing our work, hope they enjoy their new addition.
